SWR2
We are particularly delighted to cooperate with Culture Radio Channel SWR2. SWR2 will record the conference’s public discussion forum “A Corset for the Emotions? The SFB 619, too, is committed to these foundations of our democratic knowledge society. Aimed to offer background knowledge, SWR2’s broadcast “Forum” provides topical information on a daily basis, every Monday to Friday from 5.05 to 5.50 p.m.

J.& E. Portheim Foundation’s Museum of Cultural Anthropology
The special exhibition “Following the Footsteps of the Gods – Rituals and Religious Aesthetics in Orissa” at the J.& E. Portheim Foundation’s Museum of Cultural Anthropology is a key element of the dialogue with the public that the SFB 619 aspires in the scope of the conference. When we acknowledge that, even though other cultures’ rituals appear to be different, they do share the common aspect of creating meaning and providing order in human societies in their very core, we create the basis for a peaceful dialogue between the cultures.
